The Southern Africa Regional Conference (SARC) is a vital platform for promoting classical liberal values, free-market policies, and leadership development among young professionals in Southern Africa. In 2025, Impact Center for Policy Research is proud to partner with Students for Liberty to co-host this prestigious event at the University of Zambia in Lusaka. The conference will align with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and focus on key topics such as entrepreneurship, trade, and market access, with the aim of empowering young professionals to drive economic development.
SARC has established itself as an influential event, and the 2025 edition will build on its success, attracting a growing number of young leaders from across Southern Africa. With over 500 students and young professionals in attendance in 2023, the conference has consistently served as a platform for deepening understanding of free markets, trade, and policy reform. The 2025 event will focus on AfCFTA’s potential to foster inclusive growth, removing trade barriers, and enhancing market access.
SARC 2025 aims to attract 400 young professionals from Zambia and the Southern African region, with additional engagement via live-streaming to include those unable to attend in person.
SARC plays an important role in educating young professionals on the principles of classical liberalism, free markets, and the role of government in fostering a free society. Through this partnership, Impact Center for Policy Research will:
Join Impact Center for Policy Research and Students for Liberty as we work together to foster deeper dialogue on trade, economic growth, and the power of free markets in achieving a more prosperous Southern Africa.
